Our team of dedicated writers and editors at Entertainment Daily
Kaggie Hyland – Editor-in-Chief
Kaggie Hyland has been a journalist for over 20 years, cutting her teeth across numerous national news groups, including News UK, Reach and DMGT. Specialising in TV and Showbiz, she also has a wealth of experience writing and editing content across News, Lifestyle, Health, Travel, Style and Real Life. She keeps a special place in her heart for people who still use the subjunctive.
Rebecca Carter – Associate Editor (Showbiz)
Rebecca Carter started her career at Entertainment Daily three years ago. She has an encyclopaedic knowledge of celebrity household names and TV, specialising in reality and entertainment shows, and daytime television. She also works on delivering Royal content, from latest engagements to antics of the youngest members of the UK’s No.1 family.
Nancy Brown – Associate Editor (Showbiz)
Nancy Brown has been an entertainment writer for 20 years, choosing a career in journalism because she wanted to meet Wet Wet Wet frontman Marti Pellow. Interviews with Michael Bublé, Idris Elba and, of course, the Love Is All Around singer followed. Nancy joined the ED! team in early 2019, after 18 years at OK! magazine. A lover of food, drink, shopping and celebrities, she now gets to write about her hobbies and interview her favourite famous faces in the name of work.
Carena Crawford – Associate Editor (Soaps)
Carena Crawford has been in the soap game for 15 years, working on magazines including All About Soap, Inside Soap and Reveal. She’s pulled pints in the Rovers, the Woolpack, The Vic, and The Dog, interviewing the landlords, landladies and most of the regulars, and has been known to predict more than a few upcoming storylines.
Helen Fear – TV Editor
Helen Fear has been writing about all things entertainment for nearly three decades, starting as a TV reviewer at Time Out in the 90s. Yes, she is THAT old. She has worked for the Daily Express, Closer, OK! and Reveal, and is an expert in all things TV. When Helen’s not writing about TV, she’s usually watching it – current favourites include This Is Going to Hurt, Unforgotten, Peaky Blinders and Shetland. Guilty pleasures include Love Island, The Wheel, The Weakest Link and The Apprentice. You need her on your team at any TV-related pub quiz, trust us!
Amelia Ward – Freelance Showbiz Writer
Amelia Ward started out in music PR, before working as a full-time journalist for a few years. She now contributes to various online lifestyle publications, as well as Entertainment Daily.
Joel Harley – Freelance Soap Writer
Joel Harley is a professional writer, film critic and soap lover of over 20 years. When not waxing lyrical about Dingles, Battersbys and Mitchells, he can be found writing for Total Film, Starburst and Rue Morgue Magazine. He particularly enjoys seeing his soap faves pop up in Hollywood (EastEnders’ Trevor Morgan in The Batman, anyone?) and would especially recommend the low-budget horror films of Dominic Brunt.
Tamzin Meyer – Freelance Soap Writer
Tamzin Meyer started out writing all things entertainment for student publications Redbrick and Freshered. She began writing for Entertainment Daily in 2022, while still studying at university. She is an avid viewer of the soaps and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the happenings in Weatherfield, Walford and the Dales. When she’s not writing, she can often be found drinking a coffee from her favourite Corrie mug.
